Precis: In this straightforward editorial, The Dallas Morning News claims that the rising gas prices cannot be blamed on President Barack Obama or the Republicans; and they are not getting anywhere by trying to point fingers at one another rather then figuring out an issue in order to be able to change the price and lower the burden on merican citizens.

Personal Commentary: I think the author is right. We aren't getting anywhere by "pointing fingers" and we need to come to an agreement to come up with a solution to help lower gas prices.

Precis: In this serious editorial, The Dallas Morning News asserts that the Syria issue needs to be aided by international efforts so that the rebels can put up a fight in order to get freedom from the awful massacres going on in Syria.
Personal Commentary: I most definitely agree with this editorial. I do not think we should send troops to Syria, but the U.S., as well as other countries, help aid the rebels in their struggle. If we help the rebels we couldnt help bring down the Syrian dictator an stop the massive amoutns of killing.

Precis: In this pressing editorial, The New York Times asserts that while the Supreme Court looks over the laws the Congress makes, it is Congress's job to judge how effective the law is in order to keep balance in the government.

Personal Commentary: I think that the Supreme Court should help Congress fix the law because ultimtely the Supreme Court will decided whether it gets passed or not so their input is valuable.

Precis: In this critical editorial, The New York Times claims that Congress cannot make a decision on the human trafficking act because Republicans do not want to renew it and that the repassing of the act should be a "no-brainer" in order to save many lives.

Personal Commentary: This act should definitely be renewed. It has helped so many people so far that stopping it won't help, obviously, and human trafficking needs to be stopped.

Category: Editorial (International)

Precis: In this critical editoral, The New York Times asserts that Europe is avoiding their debt crisis by claiming that their "firewall" plan is working in order to hide all the bailout money they are using and to assure its people that everything is okay.

Personal Commentary: Europe needs to face the facts that their debt crisis is bad and take advice from other countries to help them get out of the crisis. It won't help if they just reject everything other countries suggest, and then they go along with their "firewall" idea that was too late to really prevent any more damamge to the countires.

Precis: In this direct editorial, The New York Times claims that states with high unemployment debt shouldn't have to pay back their loans from the federal government in order to maintain state-based benefits and rebuild unemployment reserves.

Precis: In this straightforward editorial, The New York Times claims that while House Republicans claim they are the reason unemployment has decreased, they have rejected all bills that have tried to help the economy and have "stopped" all of the unreasonable bills in order to get voters to vote for the Republican presidency.

Personal Commentary: This author is clearly bias. While the Republicans may not have been the only reason unemployment goes down, both parties have helped. It wasn't only one party because they have to work together to get laws and bills passed.
